LingoMic – Privacy Policy

LingoMic is a Chrome extension and a Windows app that provide live transcription, translation and AI notes for online meetings. This policy explains what data LingoMic handles and where it goes.
Summary
- We never receive, store or sell your audio, transcripts, notes or API key.
- When you sign in with Google, our account server keeps only your Google account email and how long you use LingoMic (per meeting: start time and length), to manage your trial and plan and to prevent abuse.
- Audio and text you choose to process are sent directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API, using your own Gemini API key.
- Meetings, notes and settings are stored only in your browser (
chrome.storage.local). Audio is never saved.
Data the extension handles

The account server is hosted by Supabase (EU region) and acts only on our behalf. LingoMic does not collect browsing history, does not read pages outside Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Every few hours the extension downloads a small settings file (the names of the Gemini models to use) from kaokray.github.io. No user data is sent with this request.
Google Gemini API
Your audio and text are processed by Google under the terms of your Gemini API plan. On Google's free tier, Google may use submitted content to improve its products; paid plans are treated differently. If your meetings are confidential, use a paid key and read Google's current terms: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
Recording and consent
You are responsible for telling participants before you record or transcribe a meeting and for following the laws and company policies that apply to you. The extension asks you to confirm this before first use.
Retention and deletion
Account data (email and usage) is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of your request. Other data stays on your device until you delete it. In Settings you can export or delete all meetings and settings at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share user data. Third parties that receive data: Google (Gemini API, at your request and with your key; Google sign-in) and Supabase (hosting of the account server). Payment providers will receive the data needed to process a purchase when paid plans open. We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, to determine creditworthiness or for lending, or for advertising.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above is updated and material changes are described in the extension's release notes.

- Chúng tôi không bao giờ nhận, lưu hay bán âm thanh, bản phiên âm, ghi chú hay API key của bạn.
- Khi bạn đăng nhập Google, máy chủ tài khoản LingoMic (Supabase, vùng EU) chỉ lưu email Google và thời lượng sử dụng (mỗi cuộc họp: giờ bắt đầu và độ dài) để quản lý dùng thử, gói và chống lạm dụng. Tên và ảnh đại diện chỉ lưu trên máy bạn. Bạn có thể yêu cầu xoá tài khoản; dữ liệu được xoá trong vòng 30 ngày.
- Âm thanh và văn bản bạn xử lý được gửi trực tiếp từ trình duyệt của bạn tới Google Gemini API, bằng API key của chính bạn. Với gói miễn phí, Google có thể dùng nội dung gửi lên để cải thiện sản phẩm; hãy dùng key trả phí nếu cuộc họp mang tính bảo mật.
- Cuộc họp, ghi chú và cài đặt chỉ lưu trong trình duyệt (
chrome.storage.local). Âm thanh không được lưu. - Tiện ích chỉ đọc trang Google Meet, Zoom và Microsoft Teams; không thu thập lịch sử duyệt web, không dùng phân tích hay quảng cáo.
- Vài giờ một lần, tiện ích tải một file cấu hình nhỏ (tên các model Gemini cần dùng) từ kaokray.github.io. Yêu cầu này không gửi kèm dữ liệu nào của bạn.
- Bạn có trách nhiệm thông báo cho người tham gia trước khi ghi âm và tuân thủ pháp luật liên quan.
- Bạn có thể xuất hoặc xoá toàn bộ dữ liệu trong Cài đặt bất cứ lúc nào.
